Fractional laser

Does fractional laser hurt?

Half an hour before the laser, the anesthetic cream is rubbed on the skin and then the laser is done and the pain is significantly reduced, but it still has a little pain that is tolerable.

When does the effect of laser on lightening and wrinkles and reduction of sunken scars start and be determined after fractional laser?

Two weeks after the first laser session, the skin becomes relatively clear and methodic, and if a person uses her/his sunscreen well, the skin becomes clearer with the continuation of each laser session (once a month). The same is true for sunken scars and post-weld stains, and the depth of the holes decreases with each session, and decreases with the continuation of the laser sessions. Finally, after the fourth session of laser average 50% improvement (from 40 to 80%, depending on Depth of scars) can be observed. The depth of scars is less and its appearance is better, in case of facial wrinkles or tightening of loose skin, improvement usually can be seen three months after the laser, ie from the third session onwards, because the collagen production takes time. After completing laser sessions, if the person has deep scars, the number of sessions can be increased for greater effectiveness? Yes, but it is better after 4 sessions (one course), the skin should rest for 10-12 months and do another laser course again.

What is the after care of laser?

Immediately after the laser, the skin becomes red and inflamed, which is improved by ice or cold compresses. 12 to 24 hours after the laser, the treated area becomes like sunburned (burnt brown). Occasionally there is a tingling sensation that resolves within 3 to 6 days with peeling. It is recommended not to pick these scabs by hand and they usually disappear spontaneously with daily washing. Daily washing with baby shampoo or a mild detergent should be done the day after the laser. The skin then appears relatively clear and slightly red, which may last for up to 2-5 days. Occasionally a person may develop a yellow discharge, in which case it is necessary to take cephalexin 500 mg every 6 hours for 5 days. If you have a history of recurrent herpes, the anti-herpes drug acyclovir is prescribed to prevent its break out. During the time when the skin looks like a sunburn, repair creams are prescribed to repair the skin faster. It is also recommended that the person is not exposed to direct sunlight, even for short duration, in the first 3 to 6 days when the skin is burnt, so the person should not go out during the hours when the sun is intense. After the burnt scabs are removed, it is strongly recommended that a person use a sufficient amount of appropriate sunscreen cream half an hour before going out and repeat every three hours.

Hyperpigmentationis a relatively common complication particularly in dark skin, which, of course, can be prevented or eliminated with careful care and medications. In some cases, medications are also prescribed to prevent spots, which can be started immediately after the fall of the scab (after 4-5days). A moisturizing cream can be used on days when there is scaling. After the laser, do not forget to get your prescription from your doctor. Repairing cream for 1 week- 1-2 times a day fucidin-H cream1-2 times a day for 5 days. Apply anti spot cream after a week and overnight and continue it.
