Lifting with thread

Thread lifting has become an effective and safe minimally invasive option for lifting the skin. The ideal thread lift candidate is usually in his or her late thirties to early fifties, whereas most patients over the age of about 60 will benefit more profoundly from facelift surgery. Thread lifts can, however, provide a facelift alternative for older patients who are unable to have surgery for medical reasons. Because thread lifts can be performed under local anesthesia, many people who have age-related conditions that make them ineligible for surgery (like high blood pressure, type two diabetes and cardiovascular disease) can safely have this treatment. If you have any outstanding health conditions, make sure to talk to your doctor about whether or not a thread lift might be right for you.

Instructions for thread lifting:

  1. Use ice to prevent bruising and swelling.
  2. In case of pain and burning for up to 2-3 days, acetaminophen can be used.
  3. Keep your head up for a week while sleeping, by putting 2-3 pillows under your head and do not sleep on your side because it may cause the thread to loosen and the results may be questioned.
  4. Gently wash your face for up to 5 days and avoid massaging or rubbing.
  5. Do not use cosmetics for 24 hours
  6. Do not expose to direct sunlight for a week.
  7. Avoid other facial and dental cosmetic procedures for a month.
  8. Avoid exercise for two weeks, but normal walk or jogging can be done & Avoid any work that may cause pressure on the face and neck.
  9. The initial result and lifting will appear at the same time after the operation, but the final result will take at least a month.
  10. In order to speed up the healing process and prevent bleeding and bruising, it is better for a person to refrain from taking aspirin, vitamin E, garlic and ginseng and smoking for a week before the operation. Also, avoid taking ibuprofen and alcohol for two days before the procedure.
  11. This procedure usually has no side effects, but slight asymmetry may occur
